Academic offerings build on the strength of traditional disciplines; yet, integrate easily with a broad exposure to the arts like theatre, debating, declamations, art & craft, designing, multimedia, sports activities and selective opportunities to pursue individual interests through innovative programs and club activities.

Here at Australian International school, every effort is made to provide challenging classroom experiences designed to encourage curiosity, self-expression, joy, and aesthetic sensibility. Our classes are small and facilitators encourage individual students to participate actively in discussions, to collaborate creatively to solve problems, to communicate their ideas effectively, and to learn from each other.

AIS curriculum can be demanding, but the culture of the school is also caring and supportive. Students build enduring bonds with their peers and facilitators. A strong sense of community characterizes the school, one which is bound together through the pursuit of learning and growth. Extra help outside of the classroom is an important element of the school culture as teachers recognize their students’ individual needs and learning styles. We believe that students learn best when they can trust in their teachers’ kindness and understanding and when the classroom is a place for all questions and ideas. The underlying philosophy of multiple intelligences is evident in the curriculum as it weaves its way through inter curricular links.

What to teach and how to teach are the two most important decisions the faculty makes. AIS has always viewed program evaluation as an important on-going activity in the school to ensure effective delivery of the academic plan inside the classroom. Curriculum revision has always been orchestrated by individual teachers under the opinions and guidance of expert educators from Australia and Pakistan.

We define ourselves as a community of learning, one that educates students from diverse backgrounds to a full measure of their talents and individuality. Together, we seek to:

  • Foster the courage to live and think as distinct individuals who embrace their responsibilities in the larger world.
  • Expose every student to the deep satisfaction that drives from service to others.
  • Enlarge the education experience to include the creative joy & aesthetic sensibility of the artist, and the vitality & competitive spirit of the athlete.
  • Develop in our young minds the habits of mind of scholars as the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
  • Nurture the development of character to leading a purposeful life.
  • Become productive citizens of their country and global community.
Australian International School is a contemporary realization of these centuries’ old thoughts and ideals.

Academic Support Program at AIS has two distinct objectives: first, to provide academic support for students and second, to provide a resource for faculty as they work with multiple learning styles and individual needs in the classroom.

The Academic Support Program provides support to students identified by the teacher inside the classroom. The cornerstone of our referral process is communication among all parties involved with the student. The support program offers a variety of academic services peer learning, one-on-one specialized classes, and small group instructions. The program strives to develop each student’s ability by establishing a solid foundation in key academic areas

At AIS, we believe that sports are an integral part of the educational process and have integrated sports firmly into our curriculum.

Our PDHPE program places emphasis on the development of knowledge, attitudes and skills related to a range of physical and health related activities. The Program aims to encourage students to:

The Value Based Learning at AIS stimulates reflection and introspection about issues that have moral and ethical relevance. The program encourages students to thoughtfully choose and adhere to a set of values that is appropriate to and best reflects the challenges of their time, rather than preaching values and imposing them.

The sessions and activities are designed to promote independent moral reasoning from which students can develop an enduring set of values and enable them to become disciplined and responsible citizens of the world. The Program deals with a wide variety of themes of social significance through creative approaches and activities.

The Life Skills Program at AIS consciously equips our students with the skills they need to get through life’s ups and downs with equal ease. The Program has adopted three skills as its core focus- Thinking Skills, Social Skills and Emotional Skills.

Using a wide variety of methods that range from discussions to interactive games, the Program imparts these skills through an experiential approach that brings in real-word dilemmas into the classroom, giving our students the extra edge they need to face adversity and fortune with equal grace. Learning to live has never been more fun!

In addition to the Innovative Programs and Club Portfolio Options, students at AIS are given opportunities to participate in workshops that take place throughout the year, that focus on a wide range of aspects relating to the development of a well-rounded and balanced personality.

From one-of-a-kind workshops on grooming and confidence-building, the workshops offer our students exposure to multiple ways of perceiving and navigating the world at large that challenge them at many levels in unique and interesting ways. Guest-lectures and workshops also add variety to our students’ everyday lives and give them chances to explore territories outside their comfort zone.

We recognize that effective learning does not always take place exclusively in the classroom. As a school, we wish to broaden learning horizons so that students can connect the outside world to their experiences in school. Each club in school tries to provide these enrichment activities in their own way. Clubs are perhaps one of the most anticipated programs at AIS.

1. Literary Club

The club nurtures a love for language, promotes literary interests & activities on campus and encourages students to analyze both reading and writing perspectives. Creative self-expression, articulation of ideas through word play and creative collaborations that hone students’ confidence makes the essence of the club.

2. Visual Arts Club

The club encourages students to bring their imagination to life, by creating experiences that develop the knowledge of materials and processes as starting points for creative exploration through paint and paper. The club invites students to look at colors, shapes, textures and designs differently.

3. Performing Arts Club

Through the mediums of drama and theatre, the club fuses performance elements to nurture a love for active expression in the students. Narrative plays and performances are given original interpretations through the club.

4. ECO Sustainability Club

The clubs encourages students to identify, learn about and adopt sustainable practices that help conserve the environment. The club also provides a platform for students to take considered action through awareness campaigns, movements and drives that aim to sensitize the local community about the need to go green.

5. Community & Humane Society

The club actively nurtures the altruistic streak in our students by encouraging them to understand and act on their responsibility towards the community at large. The outreach involves leading awareness campaigns, visits to old age homes, orphanages, deaf & mute centers, eco-sustainability drives etc. Our students learn early on, the importance of developing the spirit of giving back to society and reaching out to those less privileged and that are marginalized. Community Outreach activities and projects develop leadership, resilience, empathy and service-mindedness is our students.

6. Design and Technology

The club will promote learning of designing concepts through tools of technology, Photoshop, Animation, robotics etc. to understand, innovate and create design and product prototypes. The basic principles of design and technology are introduced to the students who then experiment collaboratively using models and test pages.

7. Cuisine Club

The Cuisine Club develops the love of cooking and culinary innovation in our students. Students are encouraged to experiment with flameless cooking including salads, entrees and desserts from cuisines around the world, developing a nuanced understanding of flavor, texture and technique in cooking.

8. Public Speaking Club

AIS offers its talented and brilliant students to participate in our public speaking club which hosts sessions for students who are passionate about making a change and sharing innovative ideas with the world.
